Solid optical crystal, engraved from the inside out.
The image isn't printed on this sphere. It's suspended inside it — thousands of microscopic points formed within solid crystal, built as a real three-dimensional model rather than a flat picture floating in glass. Walk around it and the subject holds its shape and depth. Nothing sits on the surface, so there's nothing to scratch, fade, or peel.
Pick a design from the collection below. Each one is modeled specifically for the sphere, so it reads correctly from every angle instead of only head-on.
Engraved one at a time in Brinnon, Washington, on the Olympic Peninsula. Ships with a lit wood base that catches the engraving from underneath — in a dim room, the subject glows from the center of the ball.

This is real modeling work, not a photo run through a converter. Volume, depth, and the subject's actual form get built by hand, which is why it takes time and why it costs what it does.

Send the best references you can: the largest original files you have, subject in focus and well lit, and more than one angle if you have them. Two or three photos beat one perfect one. If your references won't produce a result worth paying for, you'll hear from me before you're charged.

Why we don't say "free shipping"
Plenty of shops pad every product price with a guessed-high shipping cost, then call the shipping free. We'd rather not charge you for a guess. Your shipping is quoted live from the carriers when you check out — based on your address and what's actually in the box — and that real rate is what you pay, with nothing added on top. (Apparel-only orders $85 and up genuinely ship free; we cover that one ourselves.)
A fully custom, one-off piece designed for your dog by one of our artists. This charge is a starting deposit, not the final price — the actual cost depends on complexity and is negotiated directly with the artist once we hear what you have in mind. We'll follow up by email to scope it out before any work begins.
